Project Assessment is the process of objectively understanding a potential impact by observation or prediction, while Project Evaluation is the process of judging the potential impact and attributing a 'value' - which may also be used to compare alternatives.

 
Project evaluation is therefore an important process which can assist clients to:

QTP have very considerable experience in transport assessments and in the formulation and application of evaluation tools that enable a wide range of costs and impacts of packages and projects to be taken into consideration. 

Our input can include:

• Advice on methods and performance measures (KPIs)
• Economic efficiency evaluations that account for such factors as travel time, vehicle operating operation and road crash costs
• Quantitative and qualitative input for other KPIs that can include accessibility, community severance, air quality, traffic noise, public health, ecology and water resource impacts
• Evaluating alternative packages and project options on the basis of multiple performance criteria
• Programming potential transportation investments so that limited resources can be optimally allocated to maximise (triple-bottom-line) objective achievement (outcomes).
• Preparation of funding applications for transport packages and/or projects
